When Marcus came to us with an idea for his friends’ son, Leo’s, first birthday, we knew we had to deliver something special. Leo’s parents are aerospace engineers, and Marcus wanted a gift that celebrated their love for aviation and space while also being playful for a one-year-old.
Marcus explained, “My friends are always geeking out over aircrafts, so I wanted to get Leo something that incorporated those elements. But I didn’t want it to be too serious. I wanted it to be funny and lighthearted, something that would make everyone smile.”
We loved the idea and immediately got to work. After a few brainstorming sessions, we came up with a simple but effective design. The shirt features an alphabet-inspired graphic with illustrations of aerospace icons:
- A is for Airplane: A stylized propeller-driven aircraft, ready for takeoff.
- B is for Bi-Plane: A Two winged aircraft.
- C is for Concorde, the supersonic plane.
Below the alphabet illustrations, we added the text, “He’s going to be an aerospace engineer!” to perfectly tie it all together.
When Marcus saw the finished product, he was thrilled. “This is exactly what I was looking for,” he said. “It’s clever, it’s funny, and it perfectly captures Leo’s parents’ interests. It’s going to be a hit at the party.”
And sure enough, it was. At Leo’s birthday party, the shirt was the talk of the town. Leo’s parents were absolutely delighted with the gift, and everyone had a good laugh at the clever design. It was the perfect gift for a little boy destined for great things.
